The Battle of Fisher’s Hill was fought on September 21-22, 1864, during the Shenandoah Valley Campaign of 1864. General Philip Sheridan’s Union Army of the Shenandoah defeated General Jubal A. Early’s Confederate Army of the Valley after General George Crook attacked the Confederate left flank. The victory forced Early to retreat and opened the central Shenandoah Valley to Sheridan’s destructive operation known as “The Burning.”

Fought on September 26-27, 1864, the Battle of Fort Davidson was the first major engagement of Price's Missouri Expedition of 1864.

The Battle of Fort DeRussy was fought between the United States of America and the Confederate States of America on March 14, 1864. The outcome of the battle was a Union victory. The battle is most famous for being the first engagement of the Red River Campaign of 1864.

The Battle of Fort Donelson was fought between the United States and the Confederate States from February 12 to February 16, 1862. Union forces under General Ulysses S. Grant surrounded the fort, stopped a Confederate breakout, and forced General Simon B. Buckner to surrender. The Union victory opened the Cumberland River as an invasion route into the South and forced Confederate forces to withdraw deeper into Tennessee.

The Battle of Fort Henry was fought between the United States of America and the Confederate States of America in western Tennessee on February 6, 1862. Union gunboats under Flag Officer Andrew Hull Foote bombarded the fort and forced General Lloyd Tilghman to surrender. The victory opened the Tennessee River to Union operations and gave General Ulysses S. Grant his first significant victory in the Western Theater.

The Battle of Fort Pemberton was fought from March 11–18, 1863, during the Vicksburg Campaign, as part of the Yazoo Pass Expedition. Confederate forces under William W. Loring defended Fort Pemberton against repeated attacks by a Union naval flotilla and supporting troops. After several unsuccessful assaults, Union forces withdrew, giving the Confederates a victory and helping end the Yazoo Pass Expedition.

Fought on April 10–11, 1862, the Battle of Fort Pulaski revolutionized siege warfare and effectively strangled shipping to and from the port city of Savannah, Georgia, for the rest of the Civil War.

The Battle of Fort Sanders was on November 29, 1863, during the Knoxville Campaign. Confederate General James Longstreet attacked Fort Sanders in an attempt to break Union defenses during the Siege of Knoxville, but Union troops repulsed the assault in about 20 minutes. The Union victory helped end Longstreet’s siege, which he lifted on December 4, 1863.

The Siege of Fort Stanwix took place from August 2 to August 22, 1777, during the American Revolutionary War. It was part of the Saratoga Campaign and ended in an American victory, which led to the eventual defeat and surrender of the British at Saragota.

Fought on March 25, 1865, the Battle of Fort Stedman was a failed Confederate assault on Union fortifications east of Petersburg, Virginia, which brought about an end to the Petersburg Campaign.

The Battle of Fort Stevens was fought on July 11–12, 1864, after General Jubal Early led his Confederate forces toward Washington. Union reinforcements strengthened the capital’s defenses and prevented Early from launching a major assault. Early withdrew into Virginia, ending the last Confederate invasion of a Northern state during the war.

The Battle of Fort Sumter was fought between the United States of America and the Confederate States of America from April 12 to 13, 1861, during the American Civil War. The battle was part of Operations in Charleston Harbor and resulted in a Confederate victory. It is recognized as the first battle of the Civil War.

Fort Ticonderoga was a British fort at the onset of the American Revolution. It was captured on May 10, 1775, by colonial militia led by Ethan Allen and Benedict Arnold. The cannon and artillery were eventually taken to Boston, where they were used to fortify Dorchester Heights during the Siege of Boston, which forced the British to evacuate the city.

The Siege of Fort Ticonderoga took place from July 2 to July 6, 1777, during the American Revolutionary War. It was part of the Saratoga Campaign and ended in a British victory, which allowed them to continue their invasion of the Hudson River Valley.
