Headquarters Department of the Ohio,

Louisville, Ky., November 15, 1861

In pursuance of General Orders No. 37, of the 9th instant, from the Adjutant-General’s office, Brigadier-General D. C. Buell hereby assumes command of the Department of the Ohio.
