General JOHN B. HOOD,

Headquarters Army of Tennessee:

Relieve Lieutenant-General Hardee from duty with the Army of Tennessee, and direct him to proceed at once to Charleston, S. C., and assume command of the Department of South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida.
