The Boston Tea Party was a political protest that took place on the night of December 16, 1773, at Griffin’s Wharf in Boston, Massachusetts. A mob organized by the Sons of Liberty raided three ships and threw all of the tea they were carrying into Boston Harbor. Parliament responded to the incident by passing the Coercive Acts, which led to the colonies holding the First Continental Congress.

The Siege of Boston started after the battles of April 19, 1775, and Massachusetts Militia followed British troops back to Boston. In the days that followed, militia from New Hampshire, Connecticut, and Rhode Island joined Massachusetts to confine the British to the city. The night before, on Christmas, Washington and and his troops crossed the Delaware River undetected. A bold move that led to a resounding victory.

The Battle of Valcour Island was fought on October 11, 1776, during the American Revolutionary War. It was part of the Canada Campaign and ended in a British victory, but American forces led by Benedict Arnold prevented the British from launching an invasion of the Hudson River Valley.

The Virginia Gunpowder Incident took place from April 21, 1775, to May 4, 1775, during the American Revolutionary War. The affair started when the Governor of Virginia had gunpowder removed from the storehouse in Williamsburg. It set off a chain of events that included the Governor forming his own army, which led to the outbreak of war in Virginia.
